[One day during the winter vacation, Tamaki will find that a book has been delivered to his cabin, along with a note scribbled on a piece of paper torn out of a notebook:]

Tamaki,

This is for you. I don't know what you like, so I just got something that looked interesting.

Say no more, because you've just received a copy of Acoustics: Fundamentals of Sound Fields, a book that explains the science of sound, complete with practical formulas and simulation methods! There might be some genuinely interesting and applicable parts in there, but they're buried between page after page of science babble.]

[He stares at the book for awhile, not sure what he's supposed to do with this. He could read it, but the first paragraph tells him he probably won't understand any of it and will fall asleep trying to.

But it was still pretty nice of Rita to think of him!

Later, Rita will get a package back: also a book, though this one is fiction. It advertises itself as the story of a girl and her friend as they try to stop a plot against their city, using a combination technology and forbidden magic.

There's a note tucked into it.
